As a researcher, I find it MUCH more convenient, much faster and much more thorough to search digital information sources. Digital publishing undoubedly poses severe challenges for the industry - how to protect copyright/forged copies, etc. However, from the viewpoint of researchers and busy clinicians, the ability to go straight to the relevant literature at the press of a button has immense practical value. For teachers and writers, digital data has the added value of being easily edited, stored, compared and updated. I can think of several books, such as Wiseman and Ye's Dictioonary of , that would be invaluable for the development of TCM in the West were they available on CD.
