Guest guest
The problem with CAM is not simply that it is limited as technical literature, which indeed it is, but also that it over simplifies the CM frame of reference in adapting it to the physician readership for which it was intended. Bob - this is why I used it as an 'extreme' example of Bob Flaw's logic regarding Sionneau's texts applied to clinical differential diagnosis. That said - I do find the texts useful, and wish the sections were listed on the spine for easy reference. I may have to deface them. I ain't buyin' no matter how voluminous the source or sources. > Humanity is far to complex. Which is why there must be a literature beyond the clinical. What philosophical literature and historical literature teach is how to think, how to apply logical processes to problems. The problem with CAM is not simply that it is limited as technical literature, which indeed it is, but also that it over simplifies the CM frame of reference in adapting it to the physician readership for which it was intended. I have occasionally found patterns in other reputable texts not in sionneau. But he is by far the most thorough of any books in english. I am pretty sure that with just those seven books and a knowledge of TCM logic, I could get by pretty well.
