The idea is that Wenlin, etc. would not be necessary, that you could store,

retrieve and print Chinese from the system itself. This is not going to be

reasonably accomlishable on older operating systems such as W95 but the

newer Microsoft and Apple systems have the necessary capacities.

NJstar software will be Able to help you on reading and printing in

Chinese characters in complicate and simplify version. You can check

the website at www.NJstar.com and download the trial version. It has

been very helpful for me to be able to read website from Taiwan and

China.

I'm sure it has been very helpful, as have the Chinese language versions of

Windows for many. However, the technology we are working with will not

require programs like NJStar, Twinbridge, etc. The use of the Chinese in

the software is resolved and working. Our concern now is how to make the

facility available in an affordable way. It is one thing to make it work for

people who write, edit, fact-check, proof, design and print books. It is quite

another to make it work for people who are less computer savvy.
