Guest guest
Todd - This is a positive thing. It raises the standard, there are schools teaching at the minimum 2300. I'm with you about micromanagement of the hours - that could be dreadful. What we are concerned about is an AB 'ruling' option via their legal mandate to set educational standards for OM in California. Let schools set curriclum - board members have no training in these matters (not that practitioners teaching in schools do). Will ACAOM and CCAOM already have a basic 2400 (I think) hour curriculum just to meet accreditation. I heard today the final version of AB 1943 deleted the curriculum micromanagement, though I am not sure if that is correct. I saw a website that suggested otherwise. If true, then the law is completely without impact. And since I saw this impact as negative, I would be relieved.
