Guest guest
I just began with a patient who has spasmodic dysphonia, which she tells me in western is similiar to Parkinson's. Chinese symptoms point to Qi, yang, and some yin insufficiencies. Her voice is a whisper, or slightly louder, cracking at times. No pain. I'm not going into a lot of symptoms. My thoughts turn to another patient I have with severe neurological problems - atrophy of cerebrum. Incordination, drunk man's walk, slurred speech, etc - again with some Yang, Qi and sl yin insufficiencies. The connection---Before either of these people had their first symptoms, each had severe (hospitalizing) pneumonia. I'm wondering if any of one more experienced practitioners have seen this and if treatment should take this into account? Is there latent heat in the lungs? What symptoms would I look for? What herbs would I use? I appreciate any insight into this anyone might have, on or off the group discussion. Many Thanks, Ruth Elder Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: Click Here
