Guest guest
a quality called 'unstable.' This pulse hits the finger in a different location each time. This is a very serious finding with such qi deficiency, that the pulse can't hold it's placement. Eti: Is this unstable quality the same as the classic "san mai??" Guest guest
Hi Eti - The unstable pulse is different than the 'san mai'. San is the same word used to describe the powder form of herbal prescription as in si ni san. The pulse has weak boundaries and feels as though it scatters or falls apart with the slightest pressure. This is the exact opposite of pulses that have hard form like an atherosclerotic pulse that Hammer calls 'ropy'. Will a quality called 'unstable.' This pulse hits the finger in a different location each time. This is a very serious finding with such qi deficiency, that the pulse can't hold it's placement.
