Guest guest
Does anyone have any information on how to treat overdosing of toxic herbs? I've heard of using Rou Gui to treat overdose of Fu Zi, and I once came across how to treat overdose of Quan Xie, but I forgot what it was, since it was in a chinese herb book, and I haven't seen it in english. From memory (which might be off a bit), in one of John Chen's seminar, he said from his research of Asian stats, 50%(may have been a bit more than that) of herbal toxicity cases were due to the aconites (Fu Zi, Chuan / Cao Wu). I don't know if I would even recognize S/Sx of overdose, let alone know how to treat it. I'm sure I received a similar education to most, " Fu Zi is toxic, don't use it or don't use too much " . Guest guest
The Clinical Handbook of Internal Medicine Volume 1 has some info on toxic herbs, their toxic effects and some antidotes.
