Guest guest
I have yet to see this person (so obviously no tongue, pulse, etc.), but he called me about his condition and would like to come in. I've seen this condition two other times and have had an old doctor advise me on how to treat it, so I'm not completely clueless, but if anyone has some ideas/suggestions I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
Guest guest
Dear Shoushou (if that is your name), What did your old doctor advise? My herb teacher in school discussed one case of Peyronie's disease in which the penis felt like it had sheets of glass under the skin. Palpation was necessary to determine the nature of it. She treated it as a type of Bi syndrome: a laying down of abnormal tissue, as in arthritis. She said palpation all along the Ren channel revealed hardening and lumpiness. She used blood activators and anti-rheumatics such as Wei Ling Xian and Fang Ji. This is in my notes from 1992. I have never heard another TCM doctor discuss a case of this. What do the experienced practitioners have to say? Julie
Guest guest
We had one patient in our school clinic, who was seen by a few experienced tcm docs, and nothing we did helped. His peyronies became much worse after he tried a microvascular surgery to repair it, but the scar tissue after the surgery grew. He had many many treatments to no avail.
