Guest guest
I was hoping to get a little feedback with everyone's practice/business experience: What is the percentage of patients (give or take) are coming in for treatment for specific disease patterns (I.E Infertility, IBS, H/A) vs coming in for preventative health and wellness. School seemed to be Disease pattern orientated, but I am finding some people are looking for one or the other. Most people that advertise there practice are promoting specific areas of care (the generic Low back pain, H/A, Gynecology complaints...) Chiropractic offices tend to promote the wellness and continued care end... Alfred Russo MS L.Ac. PCOM San Diego 2001 Philadelphia PABroadband? Dial-up? Get reliable MSN Internet Access. Guest guest
Along the same lines. I am currently about 7 months from being done with school and plan to open my own practice. I have been to the www.100kacupuncture.com and found it very helpful as well as Bob Flaws article about 1 year out. I would love any input from others out there about pitfalls and expectations. I am in St Pete florida, There are a number of ap's in the area. I have run my own biz before so I unfortunately know what I am getting into. I am decent at marketing. I have had a hard time getting any one to give me an idea of 1st year expectations for pt load. My rough biz plan that I am working on sets a goal of 3 pt a day 4 days/wk at 1 year. This is break even (with me drawing a modest salary). This appears to be very conservative I thing but want a straight answer. I plan to take insurance when possible (took a great seminar, but time will tell) I enjoy public speaking and most important have had great result as a treating intern. Love to hear some 1st year stories, pitfalls or hard numbers.
