If yellow discharge arises after a few days, this may be phlegm heat or wind cold interacting with internal heat. they are treated differently. " Thanks Todd. This is very interesting. I know that students at our school take Yin Qiao all the time, because their throat is sore, but I suspect the throat is more scratchy than inflamed. A portion of these students don't improve after their ingestion of yin qiao, and end up with bronchitis or a ligering cold. So if someone had wind cold interacting with internal heat, what would be a good start for a formula to amend? And would one amend with materials like zhi zi and huang qin?
