Yes, you're absolutely correct but I think this general rule is to say that

instead of going after every branch when the case is serious, TCM does have a

diagnostic method to find the root and treat it. If you feel that is a

shortcoming, then so be it.

Besides I like lots of rules (because they are made to be broken). ;-)
