Hi Ed-

I do not know if there has ever been a *poll* done. I do carry Japanese

Kampo medicine and have been getting VERY good results! Recently, I saw a

study where Japanese Kampo was compared to -3- other leading (chinese)

brands of granules. According to this HPLC study, the Japanese Kampo Honso

brand granule came out on top, and was also comparable in price. I find

that it is extremely easy to match Kampo formulas with my diagnoses. I love

the packaging of the Kampo granules, each standarized formula comes

pre-packeged in individual doses, which makes these herbs extremely user

friendly... both for the practitoner and the patient.

Recently the Kampo company I work with, in conjunction with USCD's Liver

Department received funding to study Sho-saiko-to/ Xiao Chai Hu. There is

also a hospital in New York that is conducting simular studies. I am really

looking forward to seeing the date!

If anyone would like to know more about Kampo herbs, then please email me

privately. I would be thrilled to share what I know and would be happy to

send a Kampo sample for anyone who would like to experience the quality. Of

course, Kampo formulas may not be for *every* patient, however I do believe

the most common Kampo formulas, fit many of my patients presentations.
