Dear all,

I have an opportunity to work with one of the large academic vet

institutions in the UK on refractory epileptic cases (and maybe degenerative

myelopathy - although nothing I have tried has helped any of these). This

has come at a time when I am trying to help two black Labradors with long

term epilepsy without success. In the past I have been able to help

epileptic dogs with individually prescribed (on TCM basis) herbs,

acupuncture and nutrition. These two are not responding at all. I will post

a more detailed description of signs and symptoms in a while to see if you

can help me with pattern differentiation and herb/point selection. For now

though I am compiling info from various sources on epilepsy and

complementary therapies. If any of you out there have any therapies that you

can say definitely helped in epilepsy, even though it may be prescribed on

an individual basis rather than on the diagnosis, please could you let me

know. Also ant internet resources you may know of.

I am particularly interested in acupuncture, herbs (especially Chinese),

nutrition, nutraceuticals, gold beads (can anyone say this definitely has

helped - if so what points). If there are any homeopaths that would like to

make suggestions that would also be useful.

Many thanks

Jimmy
