Guest guest
dear group, At one time I remember having a conversation with a M.D. about the Western physiological explanation on why we don't urinate at night, (or have the urge to)... could someone elaborate on this? My TCM question revolves around the definition of nocturia and somewhat relates to this Western physiological phenomenon. If someone gets up in the middle of the night (let's say twice) from insomnia, and then decides they have to urinate, is this nocturia? Or more importantly do you consider this pathological (from a urinary perspective)? I'm wondering what other's experiences are, because I have recalled many times that I have woken up from insomnia and not have to urinate. If someone does have to urinate does this imply some (i.e. kidney xu) pathology.. --
