Guest guest
I got this email from one of my students who graduated and is now in Xi'an for a year before he sets up his practice in the States. I found it interesting and don't think he will mind if I post it for you all. (The names have been changed to protect the innocent.) >>Hey doug, that's great you're doing chinese....I personally think it's essential at some point or another. I studied chinese as an undergrad, but didn't continue at acupuncture school. Now I have to make up for lost ground. But it is a must for me and I think for anyone who wants to learn to read and learn beyond bensky/ deadman/ etc. It's alot of western med here...the tcm seems alot less " pure " than in the USA....but doctors here and there are practicing more or less exclusive TCM. I teach 16 hour a week which really is quite effortless...and the demand for english is at such a frenzy that a native english speaker is more in demand that the most famous TCM Dr....at least in this area....hope all is well....take care...
