I always wondered about Zi Shi Ying. Bensky has it listed in the spirit calming medicinals. I haven't seen it in any pharmacies so far. I've seen people who seem spacy and disoriented. (Nervous, vegan, walking around and bumping into things, slow soft voice)These would be the people I have a desire to do Kidney 1 on. I don't know that Chinese has an analogy for being grounded, although I'm sure someone on this scholarly list will know . It seems to me that heavy substances would ground someone. I was particularly interested to know if anyone has ever heard of using Zi Shi Ying in this fashion. I have been tempted to get some ground up flourite from a stone cutter friend and just try it, but I imagine there could be some contamination-maybe lead? I rarely reach for it as a medicinal to settle and clam the spirit, although this is mainly just my habit. It is interesting to note that zi shi ying is an excellent source of iron, and even low-normal iron levels can cause a person to feel cold. It is easy to purchase from any herb supplier.
