Apologies re Iraq Pieces

A List Member, Dr. AAA [known to me] wrote:

Originally, I sent the Iraqi piece to my extended Clan and off-list

friends across the world. As an afterthought, and without thinking of

the rules, I sent it ot a number of Lists, including this one.

 

Most Irish people are anti-war; we have had enough of it after 800

years of occupation and bloodshed in this country. Believe me, I do

NOT want to see a war in Iraq (or any other country) and my mail

was sent as a jocose satire on warmongers, wherever they come

from. It was sent to also goad people to think about the stupidity of

a major war.

 

But Dr. AAA is correct; that was a political aim/message, and I

should not have sent it to the List. Dr AAA ia also correct that I

would rein in any other Lister for using as a political platform the

Lists for which I am responsible.

 

Therefore, I accept the reprimand of my peers, recognise my

breach of List etiquette, and apologise to the Membership. Mea

culpa!

 

To Dr. AAA, and any other Listers who may have been offended, I

am sorry if that mail has upset you. I intended no offence.

 

To all Listers, I apologise also for my mistake in sending two

copies of the mail. This was due to an error in my address book.

 

As Dr. AAA has asked, ( " Please leave it off the list " ), I will delete

the offending mails (and this apology) from the Archive of MMDR-L,

PA-L & PVA-L later.

 

I ask the ListMasters of ACUPUNCTURE,

CHA, LIKEM, PulseDiagnosis and VBMA to remove the mail from

the Archive of those Lists.

PS: Can we all forget this and let it not develop into " who-backs-

whom " debate. We have much more interesting things to discuss.
