Guest guest
Hi Steven. I have been looking into testicular microlithiasis for a number of years. There is nothing out there that I have found in terms of Chinese medicine and this diagnosis. From a western perspective, the likelihood of tumors developing from this condition is usually associated with one or more undescended testes or other congenital defects or mumps. In those who never experienced these, my research has shown no strong correlation to tumors. I do recommend, however, annual sonograms to monitor any pathological changes. From Chinese medicine side, obviously one has to look into strengthening the LV and KI and rectifying LV qi and blood stagnation. Often times, the microlithiasis has few if any symptoms. Pain or aching, or a past history of trauma (often repeated) is possible. >>>>>>>>>>>> Stephen Bonzak Re: Testicular MicrolithiasisA friend of mine recently discovered that he has testicular microlithiasis which is just what it sounds like...small calcifications in the tubes in the testes. It has been associated with tumors, but he does not have any yet. There isn't much research out there about the long term significance of it but I am trying to get all there is. Has anyone ever treated it and if anyone has ever heard of a connection between Chinese herbs and such a condition or lithiasis anywhere else in the body?
