Guest guest
Dear Moderator, By way of introduction, I was director for one year, 1988, of the clinic at ACTCM after leaving Western medical school. My work was to help get accreditation for the clinic as a Calif. Community Clinic. From 1992 to 1994 I helped Dr. Kris Yang and Dr. Cheung market Min Tong Herbs to American stores and clinics. Since 1995 my work as general manager of Asia Natural Products has been to help President Dr. Liang maintain a San Francisco warehouse with chemical free herbs direct from Chinese growers and wildcrafters. Dr. Liang arranges for export from China, I help with import into the U.S. and then identify companies and clinics requiring these materials. Another aspect of the work is to differentiate between herbs of literature as might be found in a hospital pharmacy in Shanghai or Beijing versus what comes to America via southern Chinese marketing and often supports a southern Chinese medicine which although quite authentic does not always utilize herbs matching those of the medicine of literature. Dr. Liang and I are particularly concerned that the herbs she brings in are of good medicinal quality, grown-harvested-dried without adding chemicals at any stage, and that the growers are directly paid in U.S. dollars and not indirectly through provincial export supervisors. My other work has been as a college professor of human anatomy and physiology in 1989 in the San Francisco Bay area community colleges. Emmanuel Segmen Gen.
