Terms...and a question for Todd

The forum at Paradigm is now up and running,

I think virtually smoothly. So anyone who

wants to come and join in the discussion

of Chinese medical terms is welcome. Again,

if you login and edit your profile you

can select Chinese with GB encoding and

be able to see those nasty little characters.

It's being done for the SOLE purpose of

enriching our understanding.

 

I was going to wait until enough people

showed up and then offer to post the

secrets of the universe there for a

small fee. But I see that NASA's PR

department has beat me to it.

 

They now know how old the universe is

thanks to data beamed back to earth from

a modest, unmanned satellite. And of course

knowing the age of the universe allows them

to tell us that it will simply continue to

expand until all of the matter will be

evenly dispersed into one fairly cold

entropic expanse.

 

But that won't happen this week.

 

And I know we weren't supposed

to respond about using CHA as an ad

platform on the list, but since that's

how it went, I just have to ask, What's

the problem?

 

I appreciated Alon posting his course

offering. I'd love to see what everybody

is up to. Why don't you want people

providing information on their products

and services?

I said they could solicit in response to questions if you read my post. I know

Bob Felt and many others oppose letting the list become a free for all

advertising zone and my position is a compromise. Unrestricted advertisng

was forbidden in the mailing I received about the paradigm list; my policy is

already quite a bit looser than that. It has been suggested to me that I should

merely dictate my will or allow majority rule on this list. sorry. I am

endeavoring to create a consensus environment to some degree and the

consensus is against unrestricted solicitation. Lists that allow unrestricted

solicitation invariably collapse. I would probably stop reading my own list if

solicitations began to dominate. Please feel free to create a separate list for

solicitations and PLEASE do not continue this thread online as per my

original request.
