Guest guest
Does anyone know which company extracts minerals and bugs and resins? Someone said they get mu li and long gu in extracted form. Where? Are you sure? Sharon

IMO, a water- or alcohol extract of mu li and long gu will contain little of the original mineral composition. However, an ACID extract, such as in a solution of HCl will contain much of the Ca (of muli or longgu - mainly Ca carbonate), but it will NOT be as carbonate, but as chloride!! What this means, in chemical terms, is that the muli or longgu is no longer in carbonate form in an acid extract! That was the whole basis of my earlier queries about the chemistry behind " standard " extracts of insoluble minerals ingredients. > Does anyone know which company extracts bugs and > resins? Sharon Extracts of bugs and resins are different. IMO, many of their compounds could be released in soluble form in water or alcohol mixtures of untrasounded [homogenised, lysed, or tiny particle- sized] preparations of those ingredients. Guest guest
Min Tong indicates to me that their mu li is extracted in water and dried onto a carrier that is mostly finely ground mu li. My own estimate from factory training is that it's over 50% finely ground shell. Call Dr. Yang or others at 800-538-1333 to confirm. Or call directly to Min Tong in Oakland at 800-562-5777. John Zhang, former vice general manager at the Taibo Factory in Lanzhou City, Gansu, says that Taibo and other factories in Lanzhou do not atempt to extract mu li or any bones or shells is single dry dosage extracts. He indicates that the formulas are extracted with the bones and shells in the normal way.
