Guest guest
is chinese medicine practiced in a hospital setting anywhere in North America. can anybody recommend any on the hospitals of Tijuana? an old patient approached me for advice and/or treatment. I told her that she needs to be hospitalized. she is however very frustrated with the Canadian health care system and has chosen to break up contact even to her family doctor. any suggestions would be appreciated. Guest guest
Mike I'm not sure where in Canada you might be located, but in the lower mainland of British Columbia, I have practiced TCM with acupuncture and had herbals dispensed in two hospitals here at Surrey Memorial and Peace Arch and less frequently downtown in St.Paul's. I have also heard of other practitioners in acupuncture going regularly into other hospitals. We recently had an attached clinic to Vancouver General called the Tsu Chi Centre closed because of Government funds. What is required besides licensing, is that your primary care giver approve and ask from his superior or head physician to agree that you can be treated. The hospital will ask you and and your TCM practitioner to sign a waiver. If herbal formulas are to be dispensed, the pharmacy must agree to doing so and the nurses should be instructed on delivery. All herbals must be properly marked and tested. Only top quality with complete descriptions should be used. THis has worked well for my patients and I have treated stroke, herniated discs, COPD, dysphagia with no problems. I believe the other provinces with licensed practitioners B.C, Alberta, and Quebec should also be able to do so. If you need a copy of the waiver let me know.
