Guest guest
Has anybody else heard about using electrostim to "drive" topical formulas into the skin? I took a topicals class recently where the teacher mentioned this for bone spurs. She said she had a partial list of materia medica that had various polarities, and you soak a gauze pad and place a tens pad on top of that then apply a like polarity to the pad with the distal needle taking the other clip. Would this assist absorption, or just combine the electrostim with the topical in a messy way? <<<<Ionophoresis can be used to push medicines the skin. However, only DC stim does this so you need to be aware of burns. Also you really need to know the polarity of the medicines and i am not aware of any reliable information on herbs. If you have one I would appreciate if you can share. I have been using this for many years. As far as using this for bone spurs, the penetration is quit shallow so you can only increase the amount of medicine in the general circulation or over very shallow areas, such as the median nerve in carpal tunnel. Guest guest
Hi, Two questions #1 Has anybody else heard about using electrostim to "drive" topical formulas into the skin? I took a topicals class recently where the teacher mentioned this for bone spurs. She said she had a partial list of materia medica that had various polarities, and you soak a gauze pad and place a tens pad on top of that then apply a like polarity to the pad with the distal needle taking the other clip. Would this assist absorption, or just combine the electrostim with the topical in a messy way? #2 I and a friend were contemplating building an electro machine for micro and milliamp. All in all, they seem very easy to build. But then I paused to consider the insurance side it. Is that why they are so damned expensive, or are they just soaking us because they can? Thanks, Par

Guest guest
What about DMSO + herbal liniment for bone spurs??? Just an idea...>>>Again i have been using for years, but cant tell you with all honesty that it makes a difference as compared to vinegar or alcohol. I usually apply DMSO first and wait about 30 min and then apply herbs. Alon

I have seen lots of remarkable DMSO claims over the years. the number of anecdotes is hard to ignore. the guy who did the original research on DMSO is located in portland at the med school. Stanley Jacobs, I think. MSM is related to DMSO and has many similar claims. Rumor is that Jimi Hendrix would soak his bandana in DMSO and LSD before he played. You can still get OTC everywhere. But if you ever touched pharmaceutical grade DMSO believe me you could tell the difference immediately. DMSO can also be toxic to the eyes alon
