Guest guest
How does Mr. Kendall account for people "seeing" qi (such as myself at times)? Years ago, before TCM school, I interviewed a bunch of Chinese doctors and the very first statement I got was this: HUANG Qi is a kind of material, which exists in the body. Its function is like a motor force, It drives the blood in the whole body. Life will come to an end without Qi. The insistence that Qi is a material is a consistent feature as far as know. And later from David Chan, an admittedly metaphysical Chinese-American: The West wants to build an instrument that will measure Qi. I don’t think its going to happen. The finest measurement for Qi is the human body. And as humans and as individuals we can experience our own Qi and can experience the Qi of other people and feel the Qi of other people. It is a palpable thing. We don’t need other machines to do it. We have that capacity, we need to refine that capacity within ourselves. Oh well. the full transcript is at taiqi.com/shen.htm doug
