Guest guest
Dear List, Any one aware of conducive laws and Chinese medicine? i.e. as in beneficial in permitting development of Chinese medicine, recognising the need for long and sincere studies and that it is discipline(s) on its own terms and hence more realistic in potential development of patient care and qualifications of practitioners. Australia (Queens land?) Canada (BC?) USA (State?) and other countries? How is Chinese medicine view in Hong Kong? Is there any web site information in English or Spanish about Chinas and other Asian countries legal standing on Chinese medicine education, scope of practice and so forth? Also, does any one know of any Chinese doctor that speak Spanish and also have a lot of experience with regard to creating public health policies and or incorporating Chinese medicine into a public health system and or many years in a hospital settings? The ministry of health here (Guatemala) might be able to invite someone to analyse and comment of the policy proposal to develop "Alternative" Medicine (but they need to speak Spanish) any suggestions would be most welcome... You will find our bylaws and history of organization etc. Contact Randy Wong the Registrar and ask for the email address of David Li Lam or how to get in contact with him. David is (was) a Cuban doctor who was on the board of directors and had acupuncture licencing and was one of my teachers in Western Diagnosis at ICTCM. He might provide some additional help. She worked on a project slated to be funded by the state of California. I worked on it for awhile with her. I've established a California Community Clinic under federal entitlements administered by the state of California. Julie's project was to do it again with the same people that I worked with. She got to see a lot while working in that program. She honed her Spanish while living in Costa Rica. You can email her and discuss what's needed.
