Thanks Ann,

Ken's friend is supported to some degree in this site. Embedded in this site is the Canadian scientist Frank Plummer's (a W.H.O. lab director) discussion regarding the fact that never more than 60% of the patients tested at the W.H.O. lab showed the presence of coronavirus. See it at: http://www.sarstravel.com/fake_research.htm

I point out to my students regularly that most of us have coronavirus (or some similar pathogen) at any given time. It's just a cold virus and can be present in some amount in any depressed immune system. Another fact that people don't seem to get a grip on is that normal fresh air contains about 80,000 living organisms per cubic foot of space. Filtered air is rarely better than 25,000 to 40,000 organisms per cubic foot. Our beloved Western medical paradigm of looking for specific pathogens for specific disease states is getting a workout.

I also share Rey's concern that our beloved Western medical paradigm seems to have completely eclipsed any consideration of diagnosis and treatment from the CM perspective. Isn't this a curious scenario considering it's mainland China that's getting the worst of the SARS epidemic? WM has managed to eclipse CM worldwide at least in the media.

I'm further noting that I'm having a hard time loading such things as Yin Chen Hao, Huang Lian, Ban Lan Gen and several other herbs onto a container because of their heightened use in China. So someone is using a lot of CM herbal treatments compared to the normal level of use. Where's the epidemiologists looking at the CM treatment of this disease. CM treatment protocols are getting a very heavy workout in China. I'd like the media to report on how that part of the work is going.
