Guest guest
Dear Members I am pleased to announce that CHA has published a new article by one of our own on the CHA website. , a recent graduate of PCOM, was one of the students who pursued the study of Chinese language and classics actively while in school. He was very interested in yin fire theory and discussed it at length with all of us many times. The article he wrote is thus not based on extensive personal clinical experience of the author, but is rather a scholarly jaunt through the literature seeking the origins and usage of this term (yin fire). However that jaunt included soliciting the wisdom of those whose combined clinical experience is well over a century. It may be controversial in its inquisitiveness, but it certainly is thought provoking whether one agrees of disagrees with Jason's points. Jason has solicited and received feedback on the article from a number of his teachers along the way (including several who read chinese) and portions of this article are based upon discussion Jason engaged in on CHA over the years. Jason has presented this as a basis for more discussion, not a final word on the subject. Most (but not all) of us who read the article agreed that it was quite publication worthy in this context. This includes myself, who luckily gets to decide this one. If you wish to challenge any points in this article, please do not hesitate to contact Jason or post to CHA to discuss or debate the contents thereof. Feel free to download and distribute the article as you see fit. The file is a PDF version as I was unable to create an HTML version with proper display of chinese characters. Most of you should have adobe acrobat to read PDF's. Free asian fonts are available if you cannot read the characters. OK, without further ado, here it is: http://www..org/yinfire.pdf Chinese Herbs " Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds " -- Albert Einstein
