Guest guest
Hello, My name is Jane Gregorie and I want to introduce myself to the group. I graduated from Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe in 1999 and later came to Georgia shortly after the recent Georgia acupuncture act (2000) was passed. I am currently practicing in Savannah, Georgia, the land of damp-heat. In addition to my private practice, I established a part-time acupuncture clinic for HIV patients within the Southeast Health Unit public health system in rural southeast Georgia. This clinic system falls under the Georgia Dept.of Human Resources and I rotate between 5 clinics in small rural towns in 6 week cycles one day per week. That has been a really interesting and rewarding part of my experience here. It is pretty amazing that in a state where acupuncture was so recently illegal (unless practiced by an MD), that they are actually paying for it with state funds. I am very interested in learning medical chinese and would appreciate any advice on where to start. I studied Japanese for several years and lived in Japan during college, so I am familiar with radicals/stroke order and using a dictionary (at least for Kanji). Thank you for your time, consideration, and the very engaging discussion that I have already enjoyed. Cheers, Jane Gregorie, M.S., D.O.M., L.Ac.144 Habersham Street Savannah, GA 31401912-201-9464 office912-201-9467 fax912-308-8739 cell
