Guest guest
Andrew Gaeddert, BA, AHG was asked in the June Acupuncture today http://www.acupuncturetoday.com/archives2003/jun/06gaeddert.html " Q: Can you speculate about the future of ephedra? A: I have heard acupuncturists say that ephedra should only be available to licensed acupuncturists or trained herbalists. This is extremely unlikely. The only mechanism in the law would be to make ephedra available by physician prescription. This would prohibit herbalists from using ephedra as even a short-term respiratory herb. " 's reply: And yet a number of laws have already been passed with restrictions short of total ban, such as labeling, minor sales prohibitions and even a specific L.Ac. exemption in suffolk county NY. clearly there are mechanisms other than restriction to physician prescription to address this matter. We should proceed forward towards this end.
