Guest guest
SHL, jin gui are too hard for me right now. However I can follow some passages from the su wen that I am already familiar with. shen nong is pretty easy, though and this is a nice beginner's goldmine. By the way, you can use wenlins' " list characters by pinyin " command to find the characters for an herb and then cut and paste those characters into the search/find dialog box to find the entry in the shen nong ben cao jing. and take every opportunity to view the stroking for each of the herb entries. P.S. How does knowing that the character for xue/blood referred to the sacrifical vessel from the time of blood sacrifices impact the my modern understanding of blood xu or selections of herbs to treat that condition? I am going to entertain the possibility that there is something of added significance here. can anyone shed some light on this?
