bob is right, however one can read the characters singly as in the classic

texts with wenlin. its just a bit more tedious, as you have to open the

dictionary definition of each character. perhaps an update of wenlin

would let you turn off the compound character reading feature. maybe it

can already do this. But they are too hard for me regardless.

maybe it

and too hard for most Chinese
