Hi All,

 

On June 10th last, I forwarded an edited version of the JCM News

(Journal of NEWS) to several lists because I

found the summaries of most articles in the NEWS to be very

useful.

 

Peter Deadman informed me that the NEWS is not a free service

and that I should not have ciculated the article. Details of his email

are below, including the WWW Site for subscriptions to the journal.

 

I must apologise to Peter for this blunder. I assumed, incorrectly,

that the summaries could be circulated. Those who may wish to

read the full text may consider subscribing to the JCM.

Phil, For inexplicable reasons, you appear to have circulated The

Journal of NEWS to the PA-L list.

 

The NEWS is not a free service. It is supplied to journal

rs as part of their subscription, or alternatively supplied

as 3 pdf files a year to email rs for an annual fee of £7.

 

The NEWS represents a very considerable investment of time and

resources by the Journal and it is simply not acceptable to

circulate it free without our permission (which would not have been

granted).

 

I would ask you to email your list, explaining the error, and pointing

out that the JCM NEWS is available by subscription (3 pdf issues a

year) at a cost of £7 and can be purcahesd online (at

http://www.jcm.co.uk/News.phtml ). It would not go amiss - given

what you have done - to adda warm endorsement and recommend
