In Shanghai the acupuncture department sometimes got these cases

usually after an operation. Extreme hiccups can also be the result of

unwelcome growths so be careful.

One treatment I saw was strong acupressure at UB 1 for what seemed

liked 20 minutes or more. Apparently this resets the phrenic nerve.

Thanks, Doug. The patient had a CT scan of his head and abdomen, to rule out

growths. I did try UB1 and told him to try it, but I didn't press it for 20

minutes. I will suggest that to him.
