Guest guest
I was wondering if there are people on the list who have some experience treating african-american patients and have noticed that their tongue bodies tend to be lighter in color compared to caucasian patients. I only have a few african-american patients, and I've noticed that they tend to have fairly pale tongue bodies and I wonder if that is just a normal trait? thanks Geoff
Guest guest
I think that the important thing here is to remember the background in which you are looking at the tongue. I think that the tongue looks paler in relation to the skin color, but that if the same tongue were seen in a caucasian patient it would not look as pale. Guest guest
Thanks Marnae - but I'm not sure that's what is going on. I could take some digital pix and then compare them on screen I suppose.
