ZYDCD, Vol. 1, p. 1414-15 Nature & flavor: Sweet, slightly acrid, level (neutral) Functions & indications: Moistens the lungs, transforms phlegm, and stops cough. Treats vacuity taxation cough, spontaneous ejection of blood, coughing and panting. Another source says clears heat, moistens the lungs, and stops bleeding.
