Guest guest
Bob, Thanks for putting these bits from Chinese sources out. This one is questionable. Where did they get the idea to use the root? I know of no Western source that mentions the root. When did Calendula come into use in China? At very best this herb could be native to the far western provinces. I did not include a monograph of this herb in my book, I could support the flower usage stated below, but there is more to it than that. thomas " Bob Flaws " <pemachophel2001 Calendula Calendula, Flos Seu Radix Calendulae Officinalis, Jin Zhan Ju, ZYDCD, Vol. 1, 1398 Nature & flavor: Bland, level Functions & indications: Root: Moves the qi and quickens the blood.
