alopecia universalis

Hi All,

 

I have a patient coming in on Friday with alopecia universalis. I have never

treated this condition before and wanted to hear any experiences you all

might have had that could be helpful. I have no further data except she has

had alopecia her whole life but never lost hair before.

Thomas, what do you mean, " she has had alopecia her whole life but never

lost hair before " ?

 

According to the dermatology expert at my school, alopecia universalis is

untreatable. I hope I don't sound negative, but that is the word that was

passed down to us.
