Guest guest
Thank you, Chris. This is awesome. This is someone who takes lots of meds and herbs, and is overwhelmed with all she takes. If you had to pick just one thing to start with, what would it be? Musiclear wrote: Any one with a high stress, highly acidic lifestyle is digetions/spleen challenged so the first thing I suggest is spleen Qi in a bottle, digestive enzymes. These enzymes work not only to help digest food in the stomach and intestine, but much more. Most people think that digestion ends in the small intestines, before the food particulate are absorbed into the bloodstream. Truth is that the blood is just another stage in the digestive process and the blood should be a highly enzymatic environment. Nutritional particulate in the blood are optimally absorbed into the cells of the body within a couple hours. Any longer than that is an indication that the highly charged blood environment is compromised. As the nutritional particles hang out in the blood, the tendency is for coagulation. Cholesterol, calcium and platelets aggregate together creating plaque, sticking to artery walls and basically causing problems. Remember though, the plaque is a symptom of the blood losing it's normally highly ionic charge. Once enzymes and minerals are reestablished, the ionic charge in the blood enables the breakdown of plaque, and most other impurities that are only enabled to exist in a diminished environment. It is my belief that Kid yin and Kid yang def. with liver stag is a result of the diminished ability of the body to manufacture hormones and enzymes that would normally regulate other metabolic functions. This is often the result of direct nutritional deficiency or the emotions holding back energy from a meridian and gland, which in turn reduces circulation and the availability of nutrients. Getting back to your friend, it is very common for asthmatics to be extremely low in some critical anti inflammatory EFA's. As a result, their bodies are primed for inflammatory attacks and the asthma symptom reveals itself. As an additional side affect, the lack of anti inflammatory oils means when there is damage to the body, the balancing effects to inflammation that occurs from damage is not available and extended cycles of pain, with the long term deposit of calcium and other debris at the damage sight occurs. These oils have an added benefit of reducing arterial plaque and lowering the heart beat rate due to better communication between cells. Since these oils reduce plaque and reduce inflammation, strokes and heart attacks are greatly reduced. Typically when a body has been stressed by an acidic and stressful lifestyle, digestion is affected. Inevitably a deficiency in the alkaline, anti inflammatory minerals will show as well. Therefore, pH of the tissue and blood is usually low. Blood with a lowered pH carries much less oxygen than blood of a normal pH. Oxygen is critical for the kreb cycle which means the ability for any cell in the body to respirate, create ATP and respond to stress is compromised. This situation is augmented at damage sites. This means the ability for the body to heal itself is compromised even further in an acidic environment. In addition, the body uses mineral ascorbates for many functions. One important function is supporting the adrenals. In a stressful situation the adrenals pull an exaggerated amount of mineral ascorbates out of the blood. As a by product of the over use of these ascorbates, the rest of the body goes into deficiency. This is especially true when a person lives a chronically stressful life and doesn't ingest the ascorbates. Since the body uses mineral ascorbates, not ascorbic acid, the body requires minerals available to manufacture these mineral ascorbates. If they are not available, which is most common with acidic people, then taking ascorbic acid creates more acidity. These ascorbates are used in the production of collagen, which is the most abundant protein in the body and is used as the glue that holds virtually everything together. Collagen and mineral ascorbates are required to rebuild the body after damage and reduces inflammation at damage sights. These mineral ascorbates also help repair damage to arteries and activate enzymes in the blood that break down plaque. As the mineral ascorbates become rarer, the hopes of quelling inflammation at damage sites are dashed. Also, the B Vit family is used directly by the nervous system and as you probably guessed, when a person is chronically stressed, there is usually a deficiency that can cause mood changes ranging from depression to anxiety. As we look at an acidic stressful lifestyle, and put several of these common side effects together, how could we expect healing to take place??? What I would suggest is that the person not focus directly on the injury, but on the chronic depletion their lifestyle has produced. I would do some pH testing, blood chemistry and start with adding at least one tbls of fish oil a day, a strong B-vit multi, 1gram of mineral ascorbates taken several times through out the day, the dietary enzymes at the dosage mentioned previously, and a mineral regimen that will replace the deficiencies and bring her pH back to normal. As the anti inflammatory nature of the supplements take effect, the original problems will generally become lessened until balance is restored and the rebuilding of the damage can take place. Unfortunately, I cannot say for sure what the cause of the nerve pain in her thumb is. It is possible that there is nerve damage caused by the operation, but likely, it is painful due to runaway inflammation from chronically deficient essential nutrition. As far as choosing supplements, there are some things to keep in mind. Unfortunately, fish oil, by it's nature is very unstable and must come from a good source, otherwise the chances of getting rancid oil is pretty high. I personally like the Carlson brand. They process oil from deep water Norwegian fish, quickly after the fish is caught and packed with nitrogen and Vit E to preserve the oil. They also put the oil through a low temp process hat removes any PCBs, mercury or other nasties. They have a delicious lemon flavored oil that doesn't taste like fish. Amazing but true. I add it to a cup of vanilla Yogurt. Yummy! Then I would make sure they were on a strong digestive enzyme. I like fungus source enzymes as they never denature in the pH ranges of any part of the digestive track and are quite active. Have them take at least one with each meal and one before bed. Don't worry that the enzyme is from a fungus. It won't negatively affect people with candida. On the candida note. Chances are, this person, who probably carves sugar is candida challenged. Sugar feeds candida. Have them understand what happens in a carbohydrate/grain based diet. The good news is that once they reduce sugars and grains to reasonable levels, and the ionic charge and enzyme levels of the blood improve, candida goes away. Candida has relatively weak cell structures and the enzymes tare them apart. ;-))) Replacing the alkaline minerals is real important. This can be done in several ways. Don't over do all at once. The body needs to be able to assimilate the minerals otherwise they will have a tendency to come out of solution and stick around the body. Chelated minerals work well for rebuilding the body, but don't change pH much. Typically the protein they are chelated with is acidic in nature. Ionic minerals are generally a good idea, but they are used more for trace minerals rather than the macro minerals that are most likely needed now. Calcium carbonate, is very good for adjusting body pH up. It is very cheap as found in Rolaids and very expensive as found in Coral Calcium. The Rolaids mint flavor is free of aluminum and quite yummy. Some people like the Coral Calcium claiming that it is full of other minerals and that may be a benefit if it is really true. Be your own judge with that. The important thing to remember with any calcium supplement is that there are many cofactors that help the body utilize it properly. Magnesium, and Vit. D are the most important with boron, silica and zinc following close behind. Make sure they get these along with the calcium. Potassium is also a great alkaliniser. Beware though, some people will hold on to potassium because of certain drugs or kidney issues. It is important to make sure there is not a potassium over load already before you supplement. An acidic pH is usually a pretty good indicator that you are OK to go ahead. If you have any questions, a quick check of their blood test will tell. Probably the best way to get potassium and other nutrients is from juicing. Juicing is awesome for quickly changing body chemistry. Don't go and buy a bunch of carrots and beets and drink quarts. Way to much sugar! I suggest starting with a base of cucumber juice, with a clove of garlic, a sliver of ginger and some celery. Add a carrot or small slice of beet if the person needs the sweetness. It is best fresh, but will store for a day if the person won't make it every day. It is much better to drink a glass of day old juice than nothing. There are many companies that offer mineral ascorbates. There is one I like to support, Alacer Corp. It was founded by really smart man years ago who spends a lot of energy educating the public. To give an idea to how well mineral ascorbates work to keep arteries clear, this 80 year old man, to prove his point, had a blood scan for calcium deposits. At 80, his number was 0%. Virtually unheard of. Since the Doctors wouldn't agree that nutrition could be the reason, he got 10 people from his office to take the test. Eight of the ten also scored 0%. The other two, had lower than normal scores, but one smoked and the other took only a small amount of the ascorbates. Go to Alacercorp.com for more info. As a side note, he also recommends two amino acids to repair damage to the artery walls. Proline and Lysine. Of course he has the products if you are interested. That is it for now. I got to get out and cut the grass. Hope this helps, Chris

Of course you know, having never met the person, seen felt or heard or smelled them, one can only guess. Given you say she is on lots of meds and herbs, I am going to assume she is on an herbal program from you. You did mention she was Kid yin and yang def. with liver stag didn't you? Well, my best guess is, since I am sure you are already covering standard CM, and she is maxed out on pills, is to go with juices. If I met her, I may suggest something else. On the other hand, the addition of any more pills may actually be harmful, depending on what she is taking now. Some bodies will start to dump quite a bit of waste as they start with juicing so ask her to start gently some one day, skip a day she how she feels. If everything seems fine, then she can do 8-16oz, once or twice a day. You will have to see how she responds. Does she drink tea? If so, you may add gentle teas for liver support after she has done some juicing for a week or two. Long life company has a detox tea called " detox tea " that is gentle relieves some toxic burden and gently moves liver chi while supporting kid. And it tastes good.
