CM students, lack of curiosity, qi

I am sorry to hear this. In effect you are saying that CM students lack qi,

and that does not say much for their chances of clinical success. I can't

imagine not wanting to know more about what one plans to do as a career.

Well, how many graduates from 1993 are with us in 2003? It seems to me

that if we were to add up the school graduation numbers, or the test-pass

numbers, for the last ten years then look at the numbers of clinicians that

have enough economic presence to show-up in the tax return data, we'd see

a very heavy drop-out rate.

Yes, you are correct. However, the situation you describe could not exist if

there were not schools recruiting such qi-less students. It seems to me that

if they can graduate and pass their exams, some responsibility accrues to

the profession to foster examinations that are better predictors of survival

in practice.
