Guest guest
With our profession in much disarray.... our major organizations showing little or no support for the federal acupuncture bill... our art being encroached on by all sort of practitioners that do not meet even WHO minimum 1500 hour training standard... not to speak of the NCCAOM 1750 hours..... with insurance reimbursement far and in between, and a whole two CPT codes with no assigned relative value .... with many of our fellow practitioners finding a living hard to come by..... if we are not going to chat about herbs... I am glad to see such important subjects like .... a extensive re-review of the Web...... whether Oriental Medicine is a politically correct title.... and if one of us " won " the Lotto that an investment of $100,000 in a new text is next priory for the profession. On a positive note I have always enjoyed the generally high level discourse on Chinese Herbology.... the purpose of this group??? Guest guest
Political pointing of fingers Mr. co-founder? Discussion of academic possibilities 5 or more years out does not interfere with todays needs being attended to. You can be assured that the points you alluded to are being dealt with in the best possible way by the major organizations, which generally have more than one or two committees working on different projects. The lottery sentence? Just a dream caused by having to work within tight financial boundries that those professions with deeper pockets and their donors need not worry about. Could you imagine what our field could do with proper income for herbal research? In any case, I see my name is a lightning rod for your political group to spew, so I sadly will remand myself to merely reading things on this forum in order to spare these people the unpleasantness.
