I believe H & E to have had a signficant impact on public perception of CM and much of that perception is greatly skewed from what I myself and all of my personal teachers understand. I was influenced by the works of PU since day one of my studies. Medicine in China was required reading at OCOM and I loved it. I read every word he wrote after that for many years. It was ironically my reading of PU and Nigel that guided my personal interpetation of H & E. I am glad to hear that this book will be revised or withdrawn. It is a noble gesture by the authors, so rare for those who could have just reaped rewards. However I do not accuse the authors of any malice, just the same naivete most of us exhibited in our early days dabbling in this field. Yet the damage is somewhat done and I don't know what can be undone about that.
