Though this might be true there are good reasons to use pure distilled

spirits. The most important for me is that I would prefer to leave the

flavor of the alcohol to drinking during the holidays :-} I don't want to

taint my medicinal product with anything but the medicinals I choose! Also,

when using vodka or any other liquor it is difficult to bring the alcohol

percentage above 50%. This is a significant problem when tincturing herbs

that require more than 50% alcohol. Ginseng, although works at 50% is

probably best if done as a simple, if it is higher, around 60-70%. I know I

said I did it at 50-60% in my last post but that was in formula not as a

simple. Keep in mind many vodkas are only 40% alcohol.
