Your post to me, not only didn't reflect the flavor of my suggestion, it

was rude, arrogant condescending. Don't bother to defend yourself. Those

that recognize your ways already know it, and you, who either won't recognize

this or don't care about it, will never relent. At least not until you are

ready

to change how you see yourself in regard to others.

I didn't suggest you go away, I actually suggested you include yourself

in topics relating to Acupuncture practice. I get you are into the fight. If

that is the way you choose to live your life, then so be it.

To be specific, I asked you to " quiet up " about the " Web " conversation so

the group as a whole could get back to what I believe is the intended

function of the group, which is to talk about how to treat people. There are

other

forums set up to talk about the very things that you desire to talk about.

This forum, I believe was intended to talk about our practice. The more " Off

Topic " posts you insight, then less as a group we will talk about practice and

people will tend to go away, thus sabotaging the very reason for the group.

I don't expect you to shut up and go away. I didn't suggest that. I

want you around to talk about the practice of CM.

Please don't bother to respond to this. You clearly don't have enough

respect for me nor the intent of my communication to make it effective anyway.

To bad. You are clearly intelligent and have a passion for Acupuncture.

In my estimation, it would be wise to take what I have said here and what

others have said about your " style " and take an honest assessment of whether

your approach is really going to get you to your intended goal.

Later,

Chris

Chris,

Today's must be your lucky day.

I just wrote this enormously long reply

to your absolutely charming request

for me to shut up and go away, but

one of those fortunate and unexplained

failures took place and it vanished into

cyber nirvana.

I started laughing so hard that all

I can remember is the last couple of

lines.

If you really thought I would just shut

up, please let me know. I'd like to

talk with you about helping me with

some research.

The short form of my response is,

Look, I wrote a book about how important

I consider it that people who want to

learn how to practice Chinese medicine

come to understand the context of its

origins. I wrote that book to help people

who already understand this, to cue

people who hadn't stopped to think

about it, and to argue for the inclusion

of such an approach with people who

have ignored it up until now.

I've spent six years so far working on

this, three of them right here on this

list. So no, I will not shut up and go

away.

If you can't figure out yet how not to

read the stuff that doesn't interest

you, have someone show you how

that's done. Todd explained it just

the other day.
