Marco: Good source material (China AND other Asian countries that has had 100 years or plus interaction with CM) Dedicated students AND dedicated teachers Diverse experience with diverse practitioners (singular and multidiscipline setting...) Hospital based... Either one year or more of at least public health seating Here in Guatemala the western doctor needs to do either 6 months in a rural area and then 6 months in an urban setting anything less for a CM doctor would be criminal (in my opinion) learning dance and how to relax... meditation and contemplation Qi gong and or Tai Chi (your persistence is beginning to rub of on me) Reading Reading Practicing Practing .... Learning to think in various ways about medicine and health East West... medical anthropology... (at least reading books and contemplating Faruqhua Volker etc...) the usual allied subjects i.e. western medicine and its associative subjects but not at the expense of Chinese medical thinking and approaches... Love for CM - TEAM and a love for people (this last one maybe is more to do with good practice and maybe is not what you where looking for sorry if it is not academic practical suggestion...)
