Guest guest
http://Chinese Medicine I would like to remind everyone about our member 's website. Jason is requesting submission of translated case studies yet has received very few so far. I want to commend Jason for providing practical advice in the area of language study and producing clinically useful documents. I appreciate Bob Flaws for the same reason, but we all know who he is. :-) So everyone should put there money where their mouth is. If you know how to translate, send your cases to Jason so he can post them for the rest of us.

My vision was to have people submit there translations, their own case studies, or even just OCRed material that they have done. I have had email conversations with people that wanted to learn to OCR and have got them going. I have had emails from people saying `what a great idea I would love to contribute', but not one contribution… I am not whining, it is just disappointing as a profession. Personally I have tons of stuff I could start putting up, but what is the purpose if others are not going to share also. As Todd says, put your money where your mouth is, if you say you translate lets start accumulating some `stuff' – I have already started the ball rolling, and trust me, I am willing to do much more if I get some people that are interested to contribute. You just send me your work, I post it with credit to you… It is also a nice way to get your name out there… Case studies can be about anything… translation do not have to be perfect, especially if you include the Chinese. It is a learning process for everyone… enough babble… Lets go, or I will just let it go, and everyone will lose, right now I have no incentive… -

If you have the stuff, why = not put it up on your site. Or if you don't want to give all your hard work away with no = ROI, then you could do what BP does and put it in a journal format and sell it. Its = always better to start an internet service as a pay service, rather than change later, th= ough. No one wants to pay for what they used to get for free. I would be glad to edit a= nd publish such a journal.

But it still takes a lot of time and energy to get things put up on the website. (most of translations are for my personal use and would have to be cleaned and edited).. So I don't mind giving it away, but if I am the only one doing it I would rather spend my time on other things (more for me)... Does that make sense? But if others are contributing then I would feel like putting more energy into it... whatever, the reality is, I don't care about the website unless others are contributing to it and people enjoying the material. -Jason
