Guest guest
Hi All, & Hi Todd > I strongly believe integration of western ideas, testing of our own > methods, group patient education and acceptance of the empirical > use of our herbs by our patients and medical peers is the ONLY > hopeful path we have as a profession. ... there is no turning back > ... I agree wholeheartedly. But HOW do we define INTEGRATION. Who will make the primary Dx and decide which modalitie to use? Who will be responsible for family practice? MDs, OMDs, LicAcs? Or are LicAcs/OMDs/DOMs to be relegated to " auxiliary staff " status? The only real way that I see for full integration is for ALL schools (Med, CM, AP, etc) to teach a nationally-AGREED Core Curriculum (chemistry, physics, botany, zoology, embryology, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, nutrition, pharmacology, diagnostics, etc), after which students may select one or more modalities for further study and specialisation. But I will not hold my breath in the meantime.
