In TCM, Mahuang is known as “army general”. powerful & can be dangerous if used incorrectly. CI: diet formulae & as recreational drug. TOXIC reactions include headache, restless, imsomia, HT~palpitation, tightness in chest area, lacrimation & rhinorrhoea, uncomfortable, fever, sweat nonstop, abdomen~upper discomfort, mouth dry, nausea, emesis, tinnitus, pyrexia & hypertension; raised HT rate. Large dose can suppress HT & slow HT; Use Emetic to Antidote oral excess; use Laxative; Reduce absorption.
