Guest guest
Hi Sean, Today, I read a report on WWW about the two biggest search engines - Google versus . The reporter scored as better, but added that Google will upgrade its engine soon to match 's new facilities.. I had a look at the Advanced Search Page at: http://search./search/options?fr=fp-top & p= It is most impressive, and has several features that Google does not offer yet. 1. The most notable advantage is that allows users to define [in each search box] where one wants the search words to be. Google offers that facility for the whole search only, not the individual components of the search. 2. also lets users pick MULTIPLE source languages for the desired pages. For example, hold down the SHIFT key and tick Chinese, Polish and Japanese to select those languages. Google only let one select ONE language. 3. also has a " Date of Update " Filter, to allow users to select recent updates. Take a look, and compare with www.google.com/advanced_search If you agree with me that has the edge, you could send a note (or an expanded version of this note) to all staff to alert them to put the Advanced Search Page [ http://search./search/options?fr=fp-top & p= ] into the Bookmarks/Favorites folder in which they store their Search Engines options. Happy new year. I hope that you had a great holiday.
