Evidence suggests that yaws, an endemic disease in the middle east, which typically spreads between children via cuts and wounds, converts to sexual transmission mode in temperate climates. it developed a particular virulence in renaissance europe, but the venereal form probably existed unrecognized in urban societies in a lower grade form for centuries, if not millennia. If it was a less virulent disease in ancient times, then it is even more likely that the connection between sexual contact and later neurological degeneration would go unnoticed. AIDS also leads to various symptoms of essence vacuity if left untreated. I remember before the discovery of the virus that the main TCM " theory " on HIV was that it was caused by jing xu from promiscuous sexual activity. However the use of tonics never proved to be a therapy of any significant curative value as the true cause was not lifestyle but infection (albeit from lifestyle). As as we know know, one could become infected by a single contact with blood carrying the virus. No debauchery was necessary. In the early 1980's, we attributed the various manifestations of AIDs to be due to excessive sex. Yet somehow the chinese a thousand years earlier, with no knowledge of infection, could not possibly have fallen subject to the same poor assessment when presented with a similar set of circumstances. OK. Chinese Herbs FAX:
