FDA and ephedra Remember who they represent and their goals

The FDA's goal is to undermine the freedom of choice in health care and

ensure the profits of the drug companies. In the end, they want a system that

is based on " symptom control through drugs " .

Even when faced with court orders, they ignore the directives and do what

they please. It is only after extreme pressure from the courts that they

acquies to anything that does not insure their ultimate goal. They and their

brethren are working across the globe to systematically remove the rights of

people to choose a form of health care not based in " symptom control through

drugs " .

The only thing that has any real consequence is legislation. And that is

a temporary win. Their lawyers are planning many years in advance how to

attack and grab power.

Remember this when you review documents and access any move they make.

We, nor any profession is ever safe from scrutiny if it competes with

" symptom management through drugs. "

Sorry to be so blunt, but I believe until people actually realize the

extent of this problem, it would be easy to be lulled into a false sense of

security.

The FDA can _say_ they will exempt us all they want, but if HR435 and SR260

pass as currently written, _all_ herbs containing _any_ amount of ephedrine

alkaloid will be permanently banned.
